Most tools grade your idea. We show you the people who have the problem.
A score feels like an answer and behaves like a mood. It changes when you rephrase the idea. It cannot meet the person who would pay. Nexify skips it entirely and gives you the two things a score can never be: the conversations that already happened, and the responses you collected yourself.
Evidence you can open.
Every item the research stores keeps its subreddit, post ID, URL, upvotes, comment count, and the keyword that found it. The AI summary sits next to the source, never in place of it. You can verify every claim by clicking through to the thread.
That matters when you are deciding whether to spend three months on something. If a claim cannot be traced back to a post a stranger wrote, it is not evidence — it is decoration. Nexify never shows you decoration without the source underneath it.
The founders who build products people actually pay for are the ones who read the threads. Not the ones who trusted a summary of a summary.
See what a research run producesThe Mom Test principle, built in
Rob Fitzpatrick’s rule is simple: stop asking people if they like your idea. Start asking about their life. Reddit threads are strangers complaining about real problems, unfiltered by politeness. That is the closest thing to a Mom Test at scale that exists without you scheduling interviews.
Nexify finds those threads. You read them. You decide.
Three features you will not find here — and why.
No idea score.
A single number out of ten implies a scale that does not exist. Two ideas scoring 7 and 4 can differ only in how they were worded to the model. The score measures fluency, not demand. Nexify does not show you a score because there is no honest way to produce one.
No revenue prediction.
Forecasting revenue from a handful of forum posts is arithmetic applied to nothing. Nexify reports counts and rates — visitors, responses, verified responses, response rate — and stops there. You draw the conclusions.
No automated outreach.
Nexify will not post, comment, or message anyone for you. Communities have rules and they can tell the difference between a founder who read the thread and a bot that didn’t. You do the sharing — the tracking shows exactly where it landed.
What you get instead.
Fewer numbers, better ones. Each of these is something you can read, click through, or act on today — not in six months when you have run out of runway.
Nexify gives you
- Real Reddit threads where the problem is described in other people’s words
- Subreddits and specific posts worth approaching, with their community rules
- A validation page with concrete prices and a way to say no
- Per-source counts of visitors, responses, and verified responses
- A research run that resumes itself if the host kills the process
Nexify will not tell you
- Whether your idea is good
- How much it could earn
- That it is “validated”
- What your competitors are worth
- Anything it cannot point at a source for
One source, on purpose.
Nexify searches Reddit and nothing else. Not because other places are worthless, but because one well-understood source produces comparable evidence. A tool that scrapes six networks produces six different kinds of noise, and noise is the enemy of early-stage decisions.
Reddit threads are public, dated, voted on, and commented on. That structure is what makes the evidence inspectable instead of merely impressive. You can see when the post was written, how many people agreed with the frustration, and how the community responded.
“The score said 8/10. The first ten people I emailed never replied.”
This is what Nexify tries to replace: a confident number with nothing behind it.
“Reading twenty threads where people complained about the same thing did more than any analysis.”
Read the thread. Then decide.
Built for ordinary shared hosting
- No long-running processes. A research run is four discrete steps, each committed before the next starts.
- Resumable. If the host times out mid-run, the next request or the cron job recomputes the same step and retries it.
- No build step. The dashboard and these pages are server-rendered PHP. Nothing to compile, nothing to deploy separately.
- Rate-limited and cached. Provider calls are tracked, cached where possible, and throttled so a shared host does not fall over.
Boring infrastructure, on purpose.
A validation tool that only works on a machine with a Node runtime and a queue worker is a tool most founders cannot actually run. Nexify is a PHP application that drops onto shared hosting and works.
That constraint shaped the research design. Instead of one request that streams for ninety seconds, you get four short steps with a saved state between them — which is also why a failed run is recoverable rather than lost.
Common questionsWho this is for.
A good fit
- You have one idea and a few weeks, not a funded team and six months.
- You would rather read what strangers wrote than trust a rating.
- You are willing to share the page yourself and wait for real answers.
- You want to know before you build, not after you have shipped.
A poor fit
- You want a number to put in a pitch deck.
- You want the tool to post to communities for you.
- You need market sizing, revenue forecasts, or competitor benchmarks.
- You need validated in quotation marks, not in evidence.
